Kurt joined the Jolly Rogers to forget the horrors of Vietnam. He was never actually there, of course, but his job as a film projectionist forced him to see one too many films on the subject. Over time, the flashbacks have slowed until they only happen occasionally (with the help of extreme and controversial psychoanalytical techniques, which for some reason includes hamsters). Today, he remains with the Jolly Rogers to forget the horrors of World War II, thanks to films like Saving Private Ryan.

In addition to his work with The Jolly Rogers, Kurt has been acting in various independent film and television projects!  His work includes:

THE SHUNNED: A low budget slasher film set in the Old West in which Kurt plays the local sheriff - and meets an untimely end!  THE SHUNNED was screened in Kansas City in March of 2005 and was picked up by Silver Nitrate Entertainment for distribution on DVD; it was then purchased by Anchor Bay Films in 2007 and gained wide DVD release across the country.  Following are some pics from the premiere:

XELINE: An alien is accidentally released from a secret government lab and wreaks havoc!  Kurt plays Sgt. Hicks - who meets an untimely end!  What a shock!  XELINE is still in post-production getting the final spit-and-polish before it's released!  During production, Kurt had the great opportunity to work with B-movie scream queen legend Brinke Stevens!  Below is a picture of Kurt with Brinke and local actor Adam Gaitan:

CHANGE OF LIFE: A story about a man who is forced onto an unconventional path in coming to terms with his daughter's alternative lifestyle.  Kurt plays a supporting role and does NOT meet an untimely end!  It's a breakthrough!  CHANGE OF LIFE is currently being submitted to film festivals.

RIGGED: Set in the seedy and dangerous world of illegal underground boxing, RIGGED is a story of two unlikely friends coming together to beat the odds and their past.  Kurt plays the film's villain, Clark Richter and does NOT meet an untimely end!  It's a trend!  Shooting began in November 2005 under the direction of Jonathon Dillon.  Principal photography officially wrapped in July of 2006 and since then the film has been going through the post-production process and has already been submitted to various film festivals.  Below is the poster for the film and some production photos:

BAD BLOOD: THE BORDER WAR THAT TRIGGERED THE CIVIL WAR: A documentary produced by Kansas City's PBS station, KCPT19, BAD BLOOD details the events of the Missouri-Kansas Border Wars that took place in the mid-1850's.  Kurt plays Charles Robinson, abolitionist and free-stater and first governor of Kansas.  BAD BLOOD premiered on KCPT on March 4, 2007 and has gone on to win 2 regional Emmys and is being played on Public Television stations around the country!
